, Introduction
If I was the therapist for the girls who have been a part of human trafficking would be
difficult but the exercises that I would use is “ I am, I think I am, I don’t think I am“ and “ it’s
my life music album”. With these two exercises I believe that it will help the environment of the
group. With each exercise it could help the girls open and become closer to me as the therapist
and to each other.
“I am, I think I am, I don’t think I am”
In this session you will need each teen at a table, and you will make have a stack of cards
to give each girl. The purpose of this session is to show you how the girls feel about themselves
and to help them reach from a better understanding and enlighten for themselves. The girls need
to take the stack of cards that are 30 different words that they all listed for me last week. The
words are different words that they hear about themselves, feel about themselves and who they
inspire to be. With the 30 words in the stack the girls will put the cards in three different stacks.
The first stack is for who they are. The second stack is for who they think they are. The last stack
is for those who don't think they are. Explain to the group that they should really like no word
but where do they feel it should go in the three piles that they have. After making the stack, the
group should write down their individual answers and give them to you.
It’s My Life: Music album
As humans we look for ways to let off steam or to let out how we feel and what we want
to tell ourselves. As teens, music is a big part of our daily lives. Everything can change and the
music might change with the mood. In this session you will let the girls use their phones. In this
open group session, all sitting in a circle, ask each girl about their musical taste, favorite artist,
and albums. Ask them who they listen to when sad, happy, and angry. Now give each girl a
piece
