, Literature review on Self-awareness and continuous self-development
In every organization, managers play a very significant role. It is concluded that
managers who are able to enhance the profits of the organizations are both effective and
successful. In fact, managers are the managers are supposed to play more roles in the
organization than just the generation of profits for the organization. A successful manager is the
one who is able to indicate the person who can successfully carry out a task at an above average
effectiveness regardless of their level of management, their previous working environment as
well as their age. Successful managers have different qualities, however, managers are not
supposed to overlook the significance of self-awareness which could be a way of failing them to
be successful managers. Many researchers have come up with the importance of self-awareness
as well as continuous self-assessment which lead to successful management.
According to Ashu, (2014), a person who fully understands their emotions, strengths as
well as weaknesses can be regarded to be self-aware. Additionally, managerial self-awareness
can be defined as the ability of the individual to assess their own behaviors as well as their skills
in the work place. Therefore, a successful manager should have great understanding of their own
skills, behaviors, strengths as weaknesses as well as emotions in the work place. Self-awareness
has various aspects which could give a great impact to the individual. These impacts include but
are not limited to personal values, emotional intelligence, the attitude towards changes as well as
the styles of learning.
Bawole, Hossain, Ghalib, Rees, & Mamman, (2016)explain that many managers fails as a
result of their poor relationship and mostly, they are not aware that their results are significantly
influenced their ability to have other workers motivated since they always have their work done
