Acute parodontale infectie
- = Klinische conditie met plots begin thv parodontium en/of zijn geassocieerde
structuren
- Symptomen
• Gelokaliseerde (purulente) infectie
• Pijn/ongemak
• Weefselbeschadiging

Parodontaal abces
- = Ophoping van pus thv gingiva en parodontale pocket/sulcus
• Resulteert in weefselafbraak
- Kenmerken
• Hoge incidentie
• Mn bij parodontitis of parodontale pocket
