Between nuclear division uncoiling of the chromosones occurs
Most proteins are basic which means Chromosones are made of chromatin
they can interact with DNA which is
Chromatin consists of DNA and
acidic
the proteins it associates with
such as histones
Chromatin exists in two forms
Euchromatin
Loose coil
Where active genes are
Heterochromatin

, Tight coil
Inactive genes
🌀 During Interphase mosts of the chromatin exists as euchromatin
This makes it easier for cell machinery to acess genes
🌀 Chromosones are counted by their centromeres. A lone Chromatid is a
chromosone but 2 chromatids are also just 1 chromosone
Each chromatid contains 1 molecule of DNA
The two Chromatids make one chromosone
Each metaphase chromosone has 2 Kinetochores.
One is attatched to each chromatid
