◍ Integer. Answer: > Integers are like whole numbers, but they also

◍ Consecutive Number. Answer: Consecutive numbers are numbers in

It is written as a small number to the right and above the base number.
In this example: 8^2 = 8 × 8 = 64
(The exponent "2" says to use the 8 two times in a multiplication.)
Other names for exponent are index or power.
◍ Deride. Answer: To "ride" people is to get on their case or give them
a hard time, and to deride is to do the same with insulting language or
poor treatment. Deride comes from the Latin root dērīdēre, meaning "to
ridicule, to scorn," and it's often used to express dislike or even hatred.
◍ Ridicule. Answer: When you ridicule someone, you mock or make
fun of them. They become the object of your ridicule or mockery. Your
bad behavior might bring ridicule on your parents, who raised you to
know better.
