Technology & innovation
What is innovation?

3

, Innovation is the introduction (into commercial use) of new ideas, methods, or
things.
It’s a change, it’s based on technology but there is a commercial component
(but the cost needs to be lower)
Definition Innovation:
A technological or organizational (including cultural as a separate subset) change
to the product (or service) or production process that either lowers the cost of
product (or service) or production process or increases the quality of the product
(or service) to the consumer.”

What is technology?
Technology refers to methods, systems, and devices (which are the result of
scientific knowledge) being used for practical purposes.
ICT innovation (digitalization):
The introduction or the change in a hardware, software or in a combination of
both that make use of information (or data) processing that leads to lower costs
and/or increase in quality of products (and services).
Innovation = invention + a commercial component
