ECE 207: Professional Responsibilities in the Early Childhood Environment

Sometimes in workplaces the person in charge might require some help to finish all of
their responsibilities and solve workplace issues.In this paper I will highlight three different
scenarios and explain how I would help my director solve these problems . Having a healthy
workplace makes for an efficient workplace especially when it comes to childcare .
Scenario #1
In this scenario the teacher works in a private childcare center where they have to pay
for their own supplies when it comes to special experiences for the children .The teacher has
started to run very low on fund and still have some experiences they need to get through .
This scenario is problematic because the teacher in this classroom should have the backing of
her childcare center to order the materials she needs to provide for the children . It’s not fair
that the teacher is having to drain their finances to provide for their job when they center
could be doing it for them.
Going forward I think that the best way to get funding would be to first talk with the
administration to see if there was a way to get some more funding directly . The second thing
I would propose if that didn’t work out would be looking towards a crowdfunding website to
ask for donations towards the materials needed in the classroom .
My plan to solve this scenario would be to reach out to the director of my center and
have them apply for funding grants at the state level first since most state and local
governments can provide centers and families with assistance .(ACF, 2019) However since
this is a private childcare center I assume that the funding would be going directly to the
