Introduction
Mental health illness is a broad range of conditions that affect mood, thinking, and
behavior and any person can be affected by mental health disorder. Evaluation is as important to
family therapy. Although families most times present with one individual identified as the
problem, the evaluation will assist the therapist in better comprehend family duties and
establishing if the identified problem patient is the root cause of the family's problems.
The patient presents for psychotherapeutic examination for personality disorder in the
health care facility because her household is in chaos. The patient is a 40-year-old adult who is
currently living with her two sons. She is divorced and stopped working because of the surgery
that failed and caused her disability and unable to walk and work. It is important to perform a
differential diagnosis to ensure that the condition a patient has is specific and not related to other
diseases that might be wrongly diagnosed with the same symptoms. The following is a

The case study is about the patient a 40-year-old Iranian female born in Iran. The patient
has five kids, three daughters, and two sons. The mother moved from his home in Iran to the
United States with her four children and left one with his father because of domestic violence.
