Identifying someone who is prone to violence in several ways, such as self-harm, assault,
risk-taking, suicide, drug abuse, and other violent or dangerous behaviors, is possible through
threat assessment. Gulayets, Hargreaves, and Ennis (2015). Threat assessment plans have the
advantages of preventing financial issues, improving business efficiency, improving threat
solutions, and providing resources for emergency management and communications.
1. The use of a threat assessment plan has several benefits. These specific
benefits can range from preventing structural damage to guaranteeing the security of the
person or people. Plans for threat assessments serve as support resources that help
organizations and facilities make decisions about potential and current threats. There are
numerous justifications for the existence of various threat assessment plans in the
educational services. Their most precious assets are the lives of the adults
and children who attend the schools. Every adult and student should also be aware of
the procedures that are in place in case of an emergency. The primary benefits of having
threat assessment plans in place are improved threat solutions and increased
organizational efficiency. According to Fein and Vossekuil (2000), better threat solutions
entail knowledge of specific operations, traits, and outcomes of a threat. To effectively

, address the possible or existing threat, effective threat assessment plans
are created and implemented.
2. Identify, evaluate, and manage are the three main components of a threat
assessment plan. It is crucial to know and comprehend the threat's location, whether it is
an active or potential threat, and how it is manifesting itself (Miller, 2014). The
identification component gives people the worry of determining the
weaknesses and establishing the potential for compromises that accompany the threat
in the establishment, company, or community. To evaluate the threat, information is
gathered. Using a range of sources will help school officials (Teachers, counselors,
and security specialists) better understand the threat Understanding and
addressing the threat will be the first steps in managing it as this would make the process
easier. A clear understanding of the threat's cause can be found in this element, and
people will have solutions for how to respond to it while causing the least amount
of damage or destruction.
3. Discuss the use of technology in threat assessment
a) Newer technologies have emerged in recent decades and are very helpful in threat
assessment plans. There are several ways that local, state, and federal law
enforcement agencies use technology. Departments can function more effectively
thanks to technology, which offers more accurate and helpful resources. Among
the systems that provide communication to all agencies are CADs, GIS/GPS, and
RMS. To record calls and ascertain the location and status of responders in the
vicinity of the caller's location, dispatchers utilize computer-aided dispatch
