How a bill becomes a law
A) The bill starts in either the house or the senate (In this case the house), where
it is given a name and a number
B) The Speaker of the House sends the bill of to the appropriate standing
committee

behavior; thus, the idea is to help the wrongdoer correct his behavior, not punish

-More goods available to consumers
-More markets for producers to sell their goods
-Help developing nations expand their economies and raise their standards of
living by selling goods to more affluent countries
-Competition in global markets lowers the price of goods
-Increases in jobs and higher wages allow consumers in developing nations to
buy American goods and services, and this helps to increase or at least maintain
American jobs
-Increased economic interdependence may lead to more cooperation and so to
fewer conflicts
Disadvantages of a global economy
-Conflicts in other nations can have economic consequences in the U.S.
-Could affect a nation's sovereignty if they have to get permission from partner
nations to make decisions about such matters as civil rights, defense, or the
environment
-Economic downturns or market fluctuations in one part of the world now cause
instability in other markets within hours
-Exploitation of workers in some less developed countries
-U.S. affected by adverse trade deficits with some countries
