Most of these policies improve market capitalism to limit government spending and regulation and public ownership. The concept is mainly associated with factors such as deregulation, free trade, privatization, austerity, and minimizing government expenditure. The main aim is to increase the private sector’s role in society and economic growth. The concept has been associated with Margaret Thatcher, U K's prime minister, who was also led Conservative Party's from 1975 to 1990.
