Function: (2) 1. Lateral rotation of thigh @ hip joint
2. Adduction of thigh @ hip joint
Nerve: Nerve to quadratus femoris (from sacral plexus)

Origin: Middle 1/3 of posterior surface of tibia
Insertion: Distal phalanges of toes #2-5
Function: (3) 1. Flexion of toes #2-5 @ MTP, PIP & DIP joints
2. Plantar flexion of foot @ ankle joint
3. Inversion of foot @ subtalar joint
Nerve: Tibial nerve

Insertion: Bases of the proximal phalanges (and dorsal digital expansion). The first is inserted into the medial side of the 3rd toe; the other two are inserted into the medial sides of the 4th and 5th toes

2. Flexion of toes #3-5 @ MTP joint (ta-ta)
3. Extension of toes #3-5 @ PIP and DIP joint (ta-ta)
