Abstract:
This paper presents a plan for a treatment group targeting to help victims of sexual assault
overcome trauma and associated challenges. Individuals from all demographics and with different
characteristics will be recruited from community treatment centers. A social worker will facilitate
the treatment group, ensuring confidentiality and informed consent from the participants. The

social worker will utilize motivational interviewing and trauma-informed cognitive behavioural
therapy to address PTSD symptoms and behavioural characteristics such as depression and
anxiety. Topics, including trauma impact, coping mechanisms, goal setting, and safety and trust,
will be addressed during the sessions. The social workers will utilize a Client Satisfaction
Questionnaire Scale (CSQ-8) to evaluate the treatment group's effectiveness. Before ending the
treatment group, the client's readiness for termination will be assessed. Overall, the strategies
developed will ensure that victims of sexual assault are supported for long-term healing and well-
being.
