, 1. Introduction
In this report, I will be writing about the primary and secondary data, disadvantages,
and advantages for both data. Also, I will be writing about source of data, collection
of data and managing and storing data and Analysing data. Lastly, I will cover how
data are used in social media platform and in digital marketing campaign, such as
how businesses target their audience through social media platform.

2. Primary data
Primary data is the data that collected by himself without any research on that data
on internet. The social media can be used for gathering data from users using the
methods such as survey such as social media platform for example, Twitter,
Facebook, etc and it allows to create a survey to gather users information using
social media and this allows customer choice, and people opinions on something.
Also, surveys can businesses to find any problems with the product or service using
the surveys methods to their company.
The advantages of primary data are the data are more accurate and reliable
because the data are from the directly source which mean that the data will be
double check before publishing the data at internet, and it provides with the deeper
insight by the users. The reason behind the accurate data because it up to date data
which mean that data is current, unlike secondary data which may be outdated and it
less biases which mean that there is a lower risk of misinterpretation compared to
secondary data. Another positive is the data is up to date by the users and keeping
the data more reliable than secondary data and it allows the users to get data more
easily.
The disadvantage of primary data is the data can be time consuming and expensive
because it required lots of time to collect the data such as surveys method and it
needed users to open those surveys by sending the surveys using the social media
platform to get the data from the users. Also, there are limited to scope since you are
collecting the data by yourself which mean that it might be smaller comparted to the
secondary data and secondary is more than primary and it more complex because it
requires skills and knowledge before doing the primary data. In secondary data, the
users can gather the information from other source and it faster and easier to get.

3. Secondary data
Secondary data is the data that is already collected by the someone else, other than
primary users. The social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook are goods
way to find the resource at online of secondary data. One-way social media can
used is trend identification, this is where trending topic and viral contents happened
at social media platform are to see the understand the people interests and choice.
The advantages of secondary data are the data are mostly free which mean that
anyone can accessed through the internet, and it does not require to pay anything
and however, it not all the time some platform required to pay the source, or some
does not. In primary data, the person must find the specific data alone and it required
lots of time to do that. Another reason is the time saving because you need search
on google and everything will be there with the source, and it will give you different
types of sources for work and it will give you source.
