Romeo and Juliet
Montagues vs Capulets (ancient Fude) fighting in the streets and prince
Escalus breaks it up and warns both families that if they fight again, they
will be executed. Romeo is upset that rosaline doesn’t reciprocate his
feelings because she is celibate (she hath forsworn love). Mercutio invites
Romeo to the Montague ball to get his mind off rosaline, which Romeo
initially refuses because he has a bad feeling about it (something that will
only end in my untimely death). Romeo then agrees to go and instantly
falls for Juliet when he gets to the ball. this is the first instance of Romeo
being immature and fickle. Romeo and juliet get married in secret with the
help of the nurse and Friar Laurance. Because Romeo attended the ball
Tybalt spotted him and got angry. The next day after Romeo and juliet are
married Tybalt challenges Romeo to a ball but Romeo refuses. Mercutio
then steps in to defend Romeo's family honour. This results in Mercutio's
death which angers Romeo who tries to get revenge on Tybalt. This end s
in Tybalt's death. Due to Romeo acing in revenge, he is exiled instead of
executed. Romeo and juliet consummate their marriage then Romeo
leaves. Lord Capulet wants juliet to marry Paris which she doesn’t want to
do because she is married to Romeo. This angers lord Capulet who forces
her marriage on juliet. Juliet goes to the friar for help who gives her a
poison that will make juliet fall asleep a look like she is dead. Once she
has taken the vial friar Laurance will wright to Romeo explaining the plan.
Juliet understands the plan an gets the vial. Just before she takes it she
explains her fears about taking it and possibly dying however she drinks it
anyways. The nurse and her mother find her and assume she is dead.
Friar Laurance sends off the letter to Romeo, but it doesn’t reach him.
Romeo gets told about Juliet's death and rushes to her. Buying poison on
the way. When he reaches Juliet's tomb, he kills Paris who is visiting juliet
in her tomb then drinks the poison. Juliet wakes up to find Romeo dead
and stabs herself. The families find out and friar Laurance tells the
families the entire story. This heals the Fude.
