This examination paper consists of SEVEN (7) compulsory questions, for a total of 100
marks.
• Answer all the questions.
• Write your answers in English.
• In the case of each answer, write down the question number, for example, question 1.1.1.
• Either type your answers or write them neatly by hand. If you write your answers by hand,
please write in pen.
,• All illustrations must be in pen.
• Once you have completed the examination, scan all the pages in the correct order and upload them
as a single PDF document on the myExams platform.
• Save your PDF as follows: Module code, Exam, and your student number, for example, FMT3701
Exam 7321647. Do not include your name in the file name.
• Please ensure that you do not upload a read-only file, as our online marking application cannot mark
read-only documents.
• Ensure that you upload your examination within the prescribed six-hour (6-hour) period.
• To upload your PDF document, access the myExams landing page and click on Exams Login
and Download my Exam Question Paper. Log in with your student number and myUnisa
password.
• Select the module, FMT3701, and click on eAssessment to submit your answer file. The link will
display only if the examination session is still open for submission.
• Remember to read and accept the Declaration of Honesty when you upload.
• To finalise your submission, you must click on the Continue button.
, THE INVIGILATOR INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE DAY
⦁ Log into The Invigilator. Your cell phone has to be connected to the internet in order for you to log in and
scan the QR code.
⦁ Scan the QR code provided above as soon as you have downloaded the question paper during the 15-minute
download window. Note that you can only scan the QR code for a limited time and you should
therefore scan it as soon as possible to start the invigilation.
⦁ If you encounter difficulty in scanning the QR code, you can enter the QR access code that appears at the
bottom of the QR code to start with the assessment.
⦁ Once you have scanned the QR code, you can place your cell phone next to you. The Invigilator will notify
you when an action is required. Ensure that the media volume on your cell phone is turned up.
⦁ You can access myExams in the application if you only have one device by pressing the “Access LMS”
button.
⦁ Keep your cell phone on charge for the duration of the assessment.
⦁ Keep The Invigilator open on your cell phone during the assessment. You are not allowed to leave or
minimise the app. When an action is required, a notification beep will be heard. You must then action
the request.
⦁ Ensure that your cell phone is connected to the internet when you start with the examination, as well as at
the end of the examination. No internet connection is needed during the assessment.
⦁ It is important to upload your answer script onto myExams before you upload the app data. Since the
uploading of app data is not time sensitive, you can do that after you have uploaded your answer
script onto myExams.
⦁ You must adhere to the time limit in the myExams assessment, since the invigilation time in the app could
exceed the time allocated for completing the assessment.
⦁ You can click on the "Finish Assessment" button in the app if you finish early.
⦁ If you encounter any technical difficulties, send a WhatsApp to The Invigilator Helpdesk on 073 505 8273.
The Invigilator mobile application-based service does verification of the identity of an assessment/exam
participant. The Invigilator Mobile Application detects student dishonesty-byproxy and ensures that the
assessment/exam participant is the registered student. This invigilation tool requires students to download the
app from their Play Store (Google, Huawei and Apple) on their mobile devices (camera-enabled) prior to
their assessment/examination.
Please note:
Students must refer to their module assessment information on their myModule sites to determine which
proctoring or invigilation tool will be utilised for their formative and summative assessments/examination.
