1.1. Identify and the main challenge faced by the team? Motivate your answer.
The main challenge faced by the Vodacom Bulls team is a persistent pattern of losing composure
toward the end of each season. This recurring issue has been observed over several years and is
believed to be closely linked to poor team dynamics. According to one rugby expert, the team's
internal relationships may be contributing to their decline in performance. The head coach has
expressed concern over a noticeable lack of understanding among players, noting that they rarely
share information or ideas and often avoid important discussions.
Players tend to assume they can read each other’s minds, which leads to misunderstandings and
disconnection. This breakdown in communication is compounded by ongoing interpersonal conflict
and a lack of unity within the team. As a result, these unresolved dynamics are affecting the team’s
morale, making it increasingly difficult to maintain enthusiasm and drive throughout the season
(Williams & Krane, 2020).
