Activity Name: Number Hop Challenge
Objective: To help children identify and recognize numbers in an engaging and
physical way.
Materials Needed:
Chalk (to draw hopscotch)
Beanbags
Number cards (1–10)
Steps:
1. Draw a hopscotch pattern on the ground with numbers from 1 to 10 in each
square.
2. Place number cards face down near the start of the hopscotch.
3. Learners take turns picking a number card.
4. They then hop to the corresponding number on the hopscotch.
5. At the number, they toss the beanbag and say the number aloud.
6. Optionally, ask learners to say a fact about the number (e.g., what comes before
or after).
