1.1 Define the following terms with examples.
1.1.1 Remedial
Remedial refers to extra help given to learners who struggle with a certain skill, like
reading or writing. It aims to fix learning gaps so the learner can keep up with the class.
A teacher offers extra reading sessions to help a learner who finds it hard to understand
stories.

1.1.2 Coherent
Coherent means that ideas or sentences are clearly organised and flow logically so the
message is easy to understand.
