QUESTION TWO - MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Briefly describe your teaching philosophy. Write a paragraph of 5-7 sentences on each of the
following questions:
1. Why do you want to become a teacher?
I want to become a teacher because I believe education has the power to transform lives and create
opportunities for growth and success. I am passionate about helping young people discover their
potential and develop the confidence to pursue their dreams. Teaching allows me to make a
meaningful difference by guiding learners through both academic and personal development. I enjoy
working with diverse learners and creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued
and supported. Being a teacher also gives me the chance to continually learn and grow alongside my
students. I see teaching not just as a job, but as a calling to inspire, empower, and uplift the next
generation.
2. What strategies will you use to improve your learners’ academic performance?
To improve my learners’ academic performance, I will use a variety of teaching strategies that cater
to different learning styles and abilities. I will incorporate active learning methods such as group
discussions, hands-on activities, and problem-solving tasks to engage students more effectively.
Regular formative assessments will help me monitor progress and provide timely feedback to guide
improvement. I will also use differentiated instruction to ensure that all learners, including those with
learning barriers, receive the support they need. Encouraging a growth mindset and celebrating small
achievements will help build learners’ confidence and motivation. Additionally, I plan to integrate
technology to enhance learning and make lessons more interactive. Collaborating with parents and
other educators will also be key in supporting learners’ overall academic success.
