What role do smoking, drinking alcohol, and nutrition play in adult development?

Create some possible combinations of these and then respond based on them. For

example, how might a person who smokes but eats well develop in adulthood? Include at

least one scholarly source to support your response. Cite any scholarly references

accordingly using in-text citations and a reference list.

Adults who maintain daily practices of smoking tobacco and drinking alcohol and

consuming particular foods shape their physical development pattern as they age. Different

health elements frequently influence each other producing outcomes that protect health or

create long-term problems. Someone who maintains a healthy diet along with their smoking

habit will receive nutritional advantages from their food. Smoking exposure generates more

detrimental consequences to lung health and disease formation than it provides favorable

effects (Kail & Cavanaugh, 2023).

A person who drinks alcohol every day also exhibits unhealthy dietary practices.

Implementation of these combined activities may potentially lead to liver damage alongside

mental challenges and memory problems. Alcohol consumption negatively affects brain

functionality and interferes with nutrient absorption which Kail and Cavanaugh (2023) report

can speed up general health deterioration. The consumption of unhealthy foods may cause

someone to feel exhausted and sick even without alcohol or smoking.

Multiple habits determine the way an adult grows according to these illustrations.

Healthy eating helps but cannot fix the destructive effects of unhealthy actions such as

smoking and excess alcohol consumption. The chances of achieving lasting wellbeing

increase when people engage in proper decision-making across their entire life
