The two NCTM process standards that I observed were representing and communication. While solving theStaircase Problem†in the video, the students used the representation method from NCTM. In the video, students use little square multiplicative to help them get a visual of the staircase with the model they are building. I noticed some of the students in the video had paper, and they were drawing pictures to help them with the rules of the problem. They also were logging their data throughout the different processes they were presenting.
