My Children Are Treated Badly Because of Their Friends – A Story About Being
Fair to Everyone

The story “My Children Have Become Untouchables” is written by Doris Lessing, a lady
who was born in a country called Zimbabwe in Africa. In her story, she talks about how
people treat each other unfairly because of their skin colour. This story shows how hard
it is to live in a place where people are not treated the same because of race. The
mother in the story wants her children to be kind to everyone, but many people around
her don’t agree. This story is about diversity, which means people from different races,
cultures, and languages all living together.
