In 2025, national nutrition week will run from 6-11 October 2025, and as a PR practitioner you are asked to use the RAISE formula to develop an awareness campaign specifically for women aged 18-45 in the greater Soweto area, South Africa to alert them about the importance of healthier eating as a solution again the national overweight and obesity crisis. The campaign must be translated for digital media, and you are allocated a period of one week to do this campaign. In your campaign highlight the strategies you will use to meet this targeted audience, campaign strategies, campaign activities, what communication and evaluation tools you will use in this campaign. The allocated budget will be R1.3 million, so you need to include a breakdown of how this budget will be utilized in your campaign. The budget needs to be presented in table format. The RAISE formula is a technique that can be applied to systematic planning in public relations. According to the RAISE formula, a public relations campaign involves the following steps:  Research – this step points to the process of discovering all the relevant facts around the issue or situation. Various methods are often used to research the issue or situation, determine the issue or situation, and formulate it in a statement.  Adaptation – this step requires the organization to adapt to the identified problem and includes formulating objectives, identifying and distinguishing between the different publics, researching possible solutions, determining resources and developing a system of continuous liaison with management.  Implementation of strategy – this step includes the selection of an appropriate strategy according to the publics identified and the objectives formulated.
