the negative consequences of this mechanism of heat loss? [5]


Evaporation is an important process in regulating body
temperature, especially in hot conditions or during
physical activity. However, despite its essential role in
heat loss, there are several negative consequences
associated with excessive or insufficient evaporation.
Below are negative consequences of this heat loss
mechanism:
1. Dehydration
 Mechanism: Evaporation of sweat from the skin
surface helps cool the body down. However, sweat is
primarily composed of water and electrolytes, such
as sodium, potassium, and chloride. As sweat
evaporates, the body loses significant amounts of
water and these essential electrolytes.
 Consequence: If the body does not replenish lost
fluids, it can lead to dehydration. Dehydration
reduces the body's ability to maintain normal
