, QUESTION 1
1. Digital literacy refers to the ability to effectively use digital technology,
communication tools, and the internet to find, evaluate, and create
information. It includes understanding how digital platforms work,
searching for credible sources, and using online tools ethically. Digital
citizenship involves responsible and ethical behavior when using digital
technology and the internet. It includes respecting others, protecting one’s
own privacy, and being aware of the legal and social responsibilities of
internet use.
2. Being ethical in the digital space means using technology responsibly,
respecting intellectual property rights, avoiding plagiarism, ensuring
privacy protection, and engaging in honest and fair communication. It also
includes avoiding harmful behavior such as cyberbullying, spreading
misinformation, or using search engines in a biased way.
3. Four ethical issues that arise from internet use include:
o Privacy invasion (personal data collection by search engines and
spyware)
o Search engine bias (favoring certain sources over others based on
algorithms)
o Intellectual property theft (piracy, plagiarism, and unauthorized
use of content)
o Cyberbullying (using digital platforms to harass or intimidate
others)
4. Two reasons for potential invasion of privacy:
o Search engines and websites collect personal data such as
browsing history, location, and login details to improve user
experience but also track online behavior.
o Spyware and tracking cookies can monitor users' activities without
their knowledge, often used for advertising or malicious intent.
