Die titel verwys na wetenskaplikes. Die titel is in die verkleiningsvorm geskryf. Dit
is verkleinerend/ negatief.


Digvorm

Wetenskapmannetjies kan as ʼn vrye vers beskou word. Die
strofes is nie ewe lank nie. Die versreëls is nie ewe lank nie.
Daar is geen vaste rympatroon nie alhoewel daar paarrym
(versreël 3 en 4) en kruisrym voorkom (versreël 19 en 21). Die
gedig bestaan uit 21 versreëls. Daar is vier strofes

Wetenskapmannetjies can be considered a free verse. The
stanzas are not of equal length. The lines of verse are not of
equal length. There is no fixed rhyme pattern, although there
are pair rhymes (lines 3 and 4) and cross rhyme (lines 19 and
21). The poem consists of 21 lines of verse. There are four
stanzas




Die tema van die gedig is die negatiwiteit teenoor wetenskaplikes. Die boodskap uit
die gedig is dat mens nie altyd wetenskaplik na die son/natuur moet kyk nie.

The theme of the poem is the negativity towards scientists. The message from the
poem is that one should not always look at the sun/nature scientifically.

Opsomming van STROFE 1

Reël 1 - 12: Kontras: “Julle” In die eerste strofe beskryf die spreker die
(Wetenskapmannetjies) staan in kontras met wetenskaplikes en wat hulle doen. Die spreker is
“ons” (die spreker en sy/haar maats).Hulle dink sarkasties. Die wetenskap van die son hou hulle so
anders oor die lewe. besig dat dit “eensaamheid” (reël 20) veroorsaak.

contrasts with "we" (the speaker and his/her scientists and what they do. The speaker is sarcastic.
