Field of View (FOV) Right Ans - The viewable area of the object under
inspection
Image Quality Right Ans - Contrast, Distortion, Perspective, Depth of Field
and Resolution
Working distance (WD) Right Ans - The distance from the front of the lens
to the object
Resolution Right Ans - The minimum feature size of the object
Depth of Field (DOF) Right Ans - The maximum object depth that can be
maintained entirely in focus
Sensor Size Right Ans - The size of a camera sensor's active area, typically
specified in fractions of an inch. (horizontal dimension is more relevant, as
that is directly related to the horizontal FOV)
Primary Magnification (PMAG) Right Ans - The ratio between the sensor
size and the FOV (Note that if you use the horizontal dimension of your
sensor, you must use the horizontal dimension of the object)
Contrast Right Ans - Describes the separation in intensity between blacks
and whites (The greater the difference in intensity between a black and white
line, the better the contrast)
What can affect MTF? Right Ans - Aberrations, Working Distance,
Wavelength or F/#
What is f/# ? Right Ans - Can be defined in two ways Infinite Conjugate and
Finite Conjugate (Conjugate means the distance between the object and the
lens)
What is Perspective Error? Right Ans - Perspective error, also called
parallax, is change in magnification with a change in working distance (This is
how we perceive distance with our eye)
