- ✔️ PMADs can affect people at any time during their lives, but there is an increased risk during the
perinatal period. Symptoms often have a unique presentation.
Statistics:
- ✔️ Approximately more than 400,000 infants are born to mothers who are depressed each year.
- ✔️ Most Undiagnosed OB Complication in America: Perinatal depression.
- ✔️ PMADs impact anyone; they do not discriminate.
- ✔️ Socioeconomic status (SES) is not a protective factor for PMADs.
Prevalence of PMADs:
