8. Low vision
ANS Impairs a person's vision to the point that corrective lenses cannot restore full visual
acuity; threshold for classification designated as a corrected visualacuity of no better than 20/40
or 20/60.
9. AT for low vision
ANS Screen magnifiers, screen readers, increase contrast, in-crease size of mouse pointer
and keyboard caret.
10. Low vision
ANS Demographics
ANS 3.5%; 90% in low income settings
11. Deafness and hard-of-hearing
ANS total or near total loss of hearing; and partiallyimpaired hearing in one or both ears
12. AT for deafblindness
ANS Transcripts for video or audio converted to Braille, tactilesign language interpretation.
13. AT for Deafness and hard-of-hearing
ANS Hearing aids, cochlear implants, cap-tions for videos, transcripts for video or audio, sign
