After looking through the content analysis of the focus group, I found that in the Asian community, it's essential for social workers to understand the significant role that culture plays in their decision-making process. The main themes listed in this analysis include access to services, quality of service, cultural competence in providers, stigma and discrimination, socioeconomic statues, language barriers, transportation, and systemic barriers. The focus group revealed several barriers when it comes to having access to mental health services. Particpants states that there wasn't enough providers and therefore they would have longer wait times. Navigating the healthcare system was also a major factor. Participants also stated that oftentimes providers were not accepting new patients, reducing their ability to recieve mental
