, Intro
•Edward Hall (an American anthropologist and linguist) emphasized non-v
communication as one major aspect of communication that is often ignored.
•His counterparts (Birdwhistell, 1970; Mahrabian, 1971; 1972) also affirmed
90% of our messages are non-verbally communicated.
•Thus, a significant amount of our messages is conveyed non-verbally.
•This implies that, although our messages may be clear and well articulated
body expressions add a significant value to the truthiness of what we say.
