Question 1
Refer to the information below and answer the sub-questions that follow.

Young workers with the lowest levels of pertinent skills are the least qualified.
Consequently, less employable. Despite having degrees, some young workers find
it difficult to obtain positions for graduates. Employers might think less highly of
young employees.
Young individuals lack social networks that can be used to obtain information about
education, the labour market, employment opportunities, and job access. Many
young people live in houses where no one is employed and are not in school, or
training.

interventions/

1.1 Two factors driving youth unemployment based on the scenario are:

1. Lack of Pertinent Skills: Many young workers have low levels of skills relevant to the
job market, making them less qualified and employable. This mismatch between the skills
possessed by young individuals and those demanded by employers contributes to their
difficulty in finding employment.

2. Limited Social Networks: Young people often lack access to social networks that can
provide valuable information about education, job opportunities, and access to
employment. This lack of social capital hampers their ability to navigate the job market
effectively and increases their likelihood of remaining unemployed.
