1. Which teaching approach is encouraged during the Fourth Industrial
Revolution? Give three (3) reasons for this. (4)
The teaching approach encouraged during the Fourth Industrial Revolution is
student-centered learning, with teachers acting as facilitators. Here are three
reasons why:

Develops essential skills: The Fourth Industrial Revolution demands new skills
like critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. Student-
centered learning encourages students to take ownership of their learning,
grapple with complex questions, and work together to find solutions. This
equips them for the ever-evolving job market.

Personalized learning: Students have different learning styles and paces.
Traditional, teacher-centered approaches struggle to cater to these differences.
Student-centered learning allows for personalization. Teachers can use
technology and diverse learning activities to tailor the learning experience to
each student's needs and interests.

Lifelong learning: The knowledge base in many fields is constantly changing.
In this environment, rote memorization becomes less valuable than the ability to
learn independently and adapt to new information. Student-centered learning
fosters a love of learning and equips students with the tools they need to
become lifelong learners.
2. Which didactical principle is applicable when choosing a method for the
teaching of Economics in the following examples? Just write down the name
of the principle.
2.1 The teacher teaches the content of the curriculum as prescribed by the
CAPS.
2.2 The Grade10 learners do more involved graphs than the demand and
supply graphs of Grade 9.
