, INTRODUCTION

ScreenInk Architects (Pty) Ltd, a big architecture company in South Africa, is having some
tough times. New competitors are offering fancy "high tech architecture" for cheaper, and
they're stealing ScreenInk's customers. Now, the HR manager, Sindy Nzuile, has to decide
which employee to let go because there's not enough work for everyone. It's a hard decision
because she has to think about each employee's job performance, personal stuff, and what
the law says.

In this project, we're going to figure out which employee isn't doing so well at their job, talk
about what to do when employees aren't doing their best, decide how to pick who gets fired,
argue about whether firing is the right choice, think about what could happen if we fire each
person, and handle any legal problems that might come up.

Also, we're going to look at how ScreenInk pays its employees, what makes some people
get paid more than others, the rules about how they pay people, and ways to keep their
best architects happy so they don't leave and work for someone else. All these things are
super important for helping ScreenInk Architects deal with their big problems.
