Criticises that there is mainstream sociology which is male-dominated Liberal / reformist feminism - Concerned with human and civil rights / freedom of individual - should have equal rights Should have some human rights and freedom Reformism = idea that progress can be achieved via gradual reform / piecemeal changes Believes that women can achieve this by changes in laws / policies and can secure equal opportunities Prejudices and stereotypes are barriers to equality and are less rational Dominated by emotions and instinct used to legitimate exclusion from decision-making Rejects idea - biological differences makes women less competent and rational
