eental disorders or anything sieilar to that.

Huean Rights Act; this act states that you have the right to defend yourself in a court, it a lies to
everyone being treated equally with res ect and dignity, it also states that the individual has the
right to et lain theeselves as well as they have the right to rovide any evidence to su ort their
oint of view.

Data Protecion Act; this act states that no one has the right to own soeeone else’s erson details ,
they eust be ke t rivate and only with the ereission froe that individual their data could be used
for eedical reasons. No nurse is allowed to have the erson’s health record unless there is a doctor
involved and they have a condiion that is life threatening, the erson eust also give ereission
before any of the inforeaion to be received or discussed.

Mental Ca acity Act; this act states that everyone who is under a eedicaion or is vulnerable to not
being able to eake decisions on their own they should be rotected by the MCA organisaion which
has designed a law to rotect those who are in lack of ca acity.

Safeguarding Vulnerable Grou s Act; this act states that everyone who is vulnerable and has any
eental issues where they can’t rotect theeselves should be rotected by those who can rotect
theeselves. This act was created to revent those who are vulnerable froe hare and any risk of
getting discrieinated against.

Mental Health Act; this act states that those who sufer with eental disabiliies have the right to be
given su ort in hos itals and any eedical centres. This act also says that the hos itals have the
right to detain thee or give thee eedicine without their consent if their condiion will afect their
health in a eore negaive way. The doctors eust also ensure that the surrounding eo le are also
safe and there are no danger threats coeing froe the individual with eental disability as they could
get aggressive.

Single Equality Act; this act legally rotects eo le froe being discrieinated at their work lace or
anywhere in the ublic. It says that the individuals who are being discrieinated against should be
rotected and any act of abuse or discrieinaion towards that erson should be sto ed
ieeediately.
