MISSION STATEMENT TASK
Mission Statement
Ever eager to learn, evolve, and generally grow as a human bean - I mean, being - I am
dedicated to understanding the art of patience and, in my best attempts, perfecting
tolerance, no matter how far one’s backstory diverges from mine, understanding I will
never be perfect, and this is a goal. My moral compass, finely tuned to my Jewish values of
monotheism, justice, compassion, education, and the profoundly resonant tikun olam,
steers me toward a life generously peppered with acts of kindness.
Curiosity is an essential ingredient in my life. It fuels my quest to discover meaning in the
territories of technology and philosophy. This quest does not stop at those territories but is
deepened by intriguing academic pursuit. I aspire to scale the heights of excellence in the
classroom and my future career, aiming to make a home among the experts in my chosen
field. I want to use my knowledge to guide and assist others, thus weaving a narrative of
fulfilment into my existence.
As a self-appointed leader, I will employ my navigation tools - communication, decision-
making, problem-solving, and motivation - to help my life-ship through calm and stormy
waters. I will stand against prejudice and push toward a place of acceptance.
Taking my body to be a temple, I will tend to my physical well-being, cultivate a lifestyle to
handle distressors and eustressors effectively, and set my sights on a half marathon.
Mental health will see my commitment through practices such as meditation and therapy.
I want to continue to explore my character through creative expression. Aware of my
responsibility as a global citizen, I want to tread lightly on Earth. I understand the
importance of acting ethically and reducing my footprint on Earth. This is in my attempt to
give back to my community. The war against injustice is one I am willing to fight. The
power of education, which I have been gifted, I plan to use. With the ceaseless search for
innovative ways to reduce pollution and conserve resources, I want my impact as a global
citizen to shine through.
I want to live a life of diversity and balance and continuous learning, hearty physical
activity, and mental awareness. As Lin Manuel Miranda once said, a legacy is “Planting
seeds in a garden I never get to see.” I trust my actions to live beyond me and positively
affect those to come after me.
