A christmas Carol :

About:
● Written on 19 December 1843.
● Written by Charles Dickens.
● Was released in short instalments called a novella.
● It is a narrative prose fiction.
● Set in Victorian London on Christmas eve.
● Uses the effects of the supernatural to depict the moral of the story.
● It continues to be one of the best selling books of all time and has been
re-made into several on screen adaptations.
Characters:
● Ebonezer Scrooge He is the the protagonist for Dickens novella and is
presented as the epitome of a miserable, stoney-faced, tight-fisted
grump. Scrooge takes advantage of his employer, Bob Cratchit and
rejects all cheer and christmas celebrations. As the story continues, we
get to see the evolution of his character and see how his eyes are
opened to becoming a better more cheerful person.
● Bob Cratchit He is Scrooge’s obedient and hardworking employee.
Consistently, he works for little to no money but continues to suffer in
these unplesant conditions in order to provide for his family. Cratchit
dosent have a lot in life but wants to make it better; he believes in order
for this to happened he needs to keep working for Scrooge and be a
good acquiesce worker.

this side of his life again and provocs feelings he hasnt addressed.
● Ghost of christmas present This ghost provides an insight to Scrooge
how the Cratchit family are surviving on christmas day. Eventhough the
ghost shows Scrooge their awful living conditions they are shown to be
cheerful and even raise a toast to Ebonezer Scrooge himself. The ghost
of christmas present plays a key role in the progression of Scrooge’s
character by demonstrating how poorly he treats the closest people to
him and how that should change.
● Ghost of christmas yet to come This ghost is more ominous and is
here to scare scrooge out of his ways The ghost successfully does this
by showing scrooge that Tiny Tim (Cratchit’s son) has died. Along with
this, the ghost also shows scrooge his own grave. Scrooge promises to
