1. What is the target form of the first conditional First conditional
(both clauses)? (F) If/condition clause : If + Subject + Present simple
Result clause : Subject + will + verb ( in infinitive)

4. What is the function? (M) The first conditional is a structure that is used to talk about actions/events in the future
which are likely to happen or have a possibility of happening.
5. What do students need to know about the Learners may have a hard time in hearing as well as pronouncing the weak forms i.e. if &
pronunciation, including sentence stress and will/would. These words are spoken quickly to maintain the rhythm of the sentence as well
intonation? (P) as stress the important words.
(Think only about how the model sentence
would normally be said.) There are also contractions in both the affirmative and negative forms. In the affirmative
form, the subject (I) and auxiliary verb (will) are contracted (I’ll). In the negative form the
