The organisation also retails the products made thereby creating a stable income for the artists. Streetwires ensures that artists are not exploited and receive a fair value for their work from businesses and individual clients. Streetwires was founded in 2000 by Winston Rangwani, Anton Ressel, Patrick Schofield and Douglas Ochse, a group of young men who had a vision to change the lives of the street vendors they saw selling arts and crafts.
