Read the following scenario and answer the question that follows.
Borotho Bathong is a small bakery in Rite village. It employed six drivers to deliver bread
to several shops in the surrounding villages. All drivers earn R6 500 per month. The
owner of the bakery recently received complaints from a few shop owners that her
business supplies bread. The main complaint was that drivers arrive late to deliver
bread. The owner assured her clients that the problem would be sorted. The owner
called a meeting with all drivers and shared with them clients’ complaints. She told the
drivers that moving forward each of them will be given a journal to be signed by each
shop owner, and to indicate the time the delivery was made. She further promised them
that the driver who will be the earliest to deliver bread for all six days will be taken out
for a fully paid dinner with their family every month end, and further get two days off
days, instead of the usual one day. The owner further told the drivers that if they take
this competition in good spirits, she may add cash to the incentives. She promised them
that if they can pull up their socks in the future, she may add a 3% increase to the salary
of the winning driver. However, that percentage will be removed if the winning driver
does not win in the following month. This means the 3% increase will rotate among
drivers, depending on who performed the best.
All drivers at Borotho Bathong earn R6 500. What type of reward is this?
