Aim- To investigate the chemical reagents to hep in identifying protein, starch, reducing sugar, fats.
, Iodine test for starch
Method:
1. Firstly you will need place spatula of food sample onto dish.
2. With the dropper, put a few drops of iodine solution on the food
3. Observe for colour change in solution
• If the iodine solution turns blue black, starch is present.
• Result: Starch is present. The colour has changed to blue/black
