Tints Adding white to a color Shades Obtained by adding black to a hue One Point Linear Perspective Lines are drawn on the picture plane in such a way as to represent parallel lines receding to a single point on the viewer's horizon (vanishing point Two Point Linear Perspective Used when looking directly at the front corner of a box, or looking down both sides of a building. 2 vanishing points Hatching Creating tonal or shading effects with closely spaced parallel lines Cross-hatching a shading technique in which density and overlapping of crossing lines is used to create a range of value. Stippling Dots spaced close or far apart to suggest darker or lighter areas Blending smoothly drawing dark values little by little by pressing harder on the drawing medium.
