What are services?
Services are deeds, processes and performances.
All economic activities whose output is not a physical product or construction, is
consumed at the time it is produced, and it provides added value in forms that are
essentially intangible concerns of its first purchaser.
There are services directed at peoples:
- Bodies
- Tangible possessions
- Minds
- Intangible Possessions
Tangibility Spectrum (NB)
- Broad definition of services implies that intangibility is a key determinant of
whether an offering is a service.
- It is also true that very few products are purely intangible or totally tangible.
- Services tend to be more intangible than manufactured products.
