Must meet requirements of original type cert or it is no longer airworthy. Standard vs Special Airworthiness Cert - Answer Standard is white paper, issued for: normal, utility, acrobatic, commuter, or transport category aircraft Special is pink paper, issued for primary, restricted, or limited category aircraft, and light sport aircraft. Experimental Airworthiness Cert - Answer - Special cert that is issued to operate an aircraft that is safe, but doesn't conform to it's type cert or doesn't have a type cert yet.
