EED2601 Assignment 2 2023 () ACTIVITY 1 1.1 Briefly explain the following concepts using your own understanding after reading what literature says about them: 1.1.1 The Environment (2) The environment refers to the physical, biological, and social surroundings in which organisms interact. The environment plays a crucial role in sustaining life on Earth and provides the necessary resources and conditions for various ecological processes and human activities. 1.1.2 Environmental Education (2) Environmental education is a process of learning that aims to increase awareness and understanding of the environment, its issues, and the interconnections between humans and nature. It involves providing individuals with knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that empower them to become responsible and informed citizens capable of making sustainable choices and taking action to protect and conserve the environment. 1.1.3 The Anthropocene (2) The Anthropocene is a term used to describe the current geological epoch, characterized by the significant impact of human activities on the Earth's ecosystems.
