This assignment will provide definitions, discussions, and elaborations on the
following: based on the provided scenario, the types of organisational information will
be identified and discussed. The roles and responsibilities of an information
manager, with examples, will be explained. The skills expected of Mrs Chauke as
information manager at Blueberry law firm will be identified and elaborated.
Additionally, the meaning of knowledge portal and its characteristics will be provided.
The different characteristics of an information manager will be discussed in a mini
essay, and storytelling will be defined and disadvantages and advantages of
storytelling in an organisation will be provided. Another mini essay will elaborate
more on the role of information communication technologies (ICTs) in knowledge
management. Lastly, the specific changes that need to take place within an
organisation will be discussed in a mini essay as well.

Types of organisational information
Manner of presentation, which can be classified into:
Oral information (spoken) (Onyancha 2013: 29):
As the name "oral" indicates, spoken words are used to convey this sort of
information whether it is shared in person, through radio or television programmes,
or by audio and video (Onyancha 2013: 29). Examples include speeches, interviews,
talks, and narrating experiences and occurrences (Onyancha 2013: 29).
Textual information (written or print):
Books, reports, etc. are used to offer this kind of information (Onyancha 2013: 29).
