SECTION A

QUESTION 1

1.1 Any written work can be considered literature in general, but literary works are
highly creative or intellectual in nature. Like painting, dance, and music, it is a fine
art that gives readers a sense of aesthetic enjoyment. Only one more
characteristic set it apart from other written works: aesthetic attractiveness. A
written piece is not literature if it lacks aesthetic quality and solely fulfils functional
needs. The entire genre, whether it be poetry, drama, or prose, is a synthesis of
intellectual works and has a beautiful aesthetic quality. When a written work lacks
any aesthetic beauty, it is not considered pure literature.
The term "literature" is used alone. It could relate to various bodies of work, but
because it is an uncountable noun, it is singular. Consider "literature" rather than
as a collection of books, articles, or other works.
It is correct to say "literatures" in a sentence. You could remark, for instance, "I
find myself reading mostly colonialism-related literature." It is not always
necessary to use the word "literary" in the plural form to refer to many bodies of
work that fall under the same category.
The general culture of the classroom will alter which is one of its most salient
advantages. "Multicultural literature fosters a sense of community among pupils
by teaching them that differences are not only tolerated but welcomed in society.
This will lessen the amount of bullying and instruction that occurs in the
classroom. Students' ability to cooperate in groups will improve (Boles, 2006).
Students can and will become more united as a result of reading multicultural
literature. Through reading literature about many ethnicities and subcultures,
students can participate in this process of unification. Students will be able to
develop empathy and interpersonal skills as a result. Students can open up and
start to trust one another by being empathic.
1.2
- Prose
- Poetry
- Drama

, Prose – uses chapters to divide sections of the text. It consists of fiction and non-
fiction and its language sounds like everyday speech. Novels and short stories
are common examples.
Poetry – uses stanzas to divide sections of the text. Poetry, or verse, is written in
lines of different lengths. These lines are carefully arranged with patterns of
sound and rhythm.
Drama – uses acts for different sections. Acts can be divided into scenes for a
change of situation or place. Drama lines can be either prose or poetry.
1.3 Multicultural literature for children reflects various cultures from a learner’s eyes.
They embody a sense of world and portray a unique input of information about
the diversity of culture. The recognition of differences and likenesses of various
groups of people. In this manner, the literature of children that is multicultural can
be explored for enjoyment as well as learning.

2.1 Expository text.
2.2 Feminine rhyme.
2.3 Reading Expository Text: Its Value. Expository writing, which explains

stories to entertain readers. The best method to create readers who can connect

and informational works.
