* Verb goes to the end
1. Underline the words that are repeated
2. Cancel words in 2nd sentence that are repeated
3. Rewrite sentence 1 until after the word that is repeated
4. Insert the pronoun (Wie/wat)
5. Rewrite sentence 2 with the verb at the end
6. If there is anything left of sentence 1 insert a comma and write
what is left

Wie/Wat

Clues *Read with comprehension, may need to write first sentence first
 If we want to say who and there is no preposition in the second
sentence, use WAT
E.g., My oom is die burgemeester. Hy is tagtig jaar oud.
My oom wat tagtig jaar oud is, is die burgemeester

 If we want to say that or which for an animal or inanimate
object and there is no preposition in second sentence, use WAT
E.g., Die perd sal die wedren wen. Hy is die vinnigste.
Die perd wat die vinnigste is, sal die wedren wen.

 When there is a preposition in the second sentence and when
the two sentences are referring to an inanimate object, use
WAT+ PREPOSITION

Wat + aan = waaraan
Wat + by= waarby
Wat + deur= waardeur
Wat+ in= waarin
Wat+ met = waarmee
Wat+na+toe= waarnatoe
Wat+ onder= waaronder
Wat+ oor = waaroor
Wat+ op= waarop
Wat+ sonder = waarsonder
Wat+ uit= waaruit
Wat+ van= waarvan
Wat+ vir= waarvoor
